About us
Technology should work for everyone.
We're a small community of developers who got tired of watching small businesses pay through the nose for software that should cost a fraction of what it does. So we started building it ourselves.
How it started
It started with a simple observation: local shops were paying hundreds of dollars a year for basic billing software. The tools existed. The technology was there. What was missing was someone willing to build it affordably and maintain it with care.
That led to Billbasket — a billing app built for small supermarkets and shops. Same features as the expensive alternatives, a fraction of the price, built on modern tech that actually works.
Codeforge is what we built around that idea. A home for projects like Billbasket — real software solving real problems for real communities.
What we believe
Affordable beats premium, always.
Great software doesn't have to be expensive. We price our work so that small businesses and individuals can actually use it — not just large companies with big budgets.
Community over company.
We're developers building for communities, not a VC-backed startup optimising for growth. The people who use our software matter more than the numbers on a dashboard.
Cutting-edge, not cutting corners.
Affordable doesn't mean sloppy. We use modern tools, write tests, and ship software we're proud to put our name on.
What we're building
Each project lives at its own subdomain — billbasket.codeforge.show, and so on as we grow. Each one is a focused tool solving a specific problem for a specific community.
If you have a problem that deserves a good, affordable solution — we'd love to hear about it.
Open by default
Most of what we build is open source. You can see the code, raise issues, and contribute on GitHub. We believe transparency builds trust — and trust is how communities work.
